Family Prayer

I went to prayer meeting yesterday morning. It was pretty tiring after the prayer meeting haha. I woke up at 6:45AM and arrived @SLC at 7:15AM. KLam and I had a nice talk to the SLC. I really enjoy being with her. I find her as a role model in discipline and organization because I can't quite grasp the task myself. Moreover, I thank God for blessing me with a friend like her (this goes into my testimony so I will stop here).

Anyway...

The people at the prayer meeting were Dawei, D.Trieu, K.Woo and E.Mak. At first I didn't think it was weird that Dawei was there but then I realized that he was on co-op term. He said that he decided to take a day off (cool!).

Anyway...

We shared about our weeks briefly. I never talked to Dawei or D.Trieu on a more personal level before so I was thankful that God gave me the opportunity to listen to them. I found out that Dawei can speak in tongues (wow!). I heard it once before but from a lady who was praying for me during 1040. I hope that I will hear Dawei speak one day.

Before we started praying, K.Woo told us to try to pray for one specific thing in our lives that God has motivated us to pray for at that moment in our lives. I decided to pray for my family. Family is such a difficult topic for me. I don't feel as connected with my family as my roommates are with theirs. I wish I was closer to my family. I wish I loved them more. I wish I could share the same faith as them.

I need to pray for my family more.

Prayer: God thank You for my parents. Thank You for my siblings. Thank You that they consistently call me in 'loo even though I miss most of their calls. Thank You that my parents still call to check up on me. Thank You for a roof to live under. Thank You for the food You provided my family with. Thank You, Lord. Lord, teach me to Love my parents more. Teach me to desire to call them on a regular basis. Teach me to be a loving daughter.
