Today for service at SCBC, we had a visitor do the message for worship. The guy came from China and he LOVED using analogies, me too! He made a race analogy and other stuff...anyway...I don't know why I wanna talk about pennies right now. This week, I used the penny analogy which i learned in Sunday school a while ago. I taught my JP friend Saki about sin and how we shouldn't judge. We were on the phone talking about Angel a's b-day party and how I wasn't attending because of fellowship. GO DIDO'! And she was deciding if she should go to the b-day party too because barely anyone she hung out with was going to the party. Anyway so we began talking about people and we got to a person that many people didn't like that was going to the party. I told her how we shouldn't judge...'cuz it was sorta like a sin...right? I told her how even though the person invited to the party does a lot of bad stuff like cheat, drink and other stuff that was abusive to her body or not good for her mental health, we shouldn't judge people 'cuz we're all equal. We're all sinners [period] and how bad we abuse our body or simply tell a little lie, we still have sinned and though our sin may have been murdering someone or considered a big sin, GOD see's it as a sin.
(this is where the analogy comes in)
we see murdering as a big sin and a small lie a tiny sin, which is like murder = big pile of pennies and lie = 1 penny. We see the pile of pennies from the side and judge others, but GOD looks from above and when we look at the pile, the penny pile lookes the same. so 1 sin = 1 sin. No matter how big the sin is, it's still considered a sin...
(and i must conclude)
Hence, we shouldn't judge.
Saki said it was a good analogy. she LOVES it too. i'm happy. She told another friend about the analogy. I'm happy.

Action, ReACTION
**I was very ill yesterday and was unable to place my devo/not really devo post on the internet.
Yesterday, I had a conversation with one of my "Christian" friends at school. His name is Josh. Joshua Leung to be precise. We were at Information Technology class (BTA 3O1) and he told me that Valerie went to church with him on Sunday. He was quite surprised and I was too. Valerie never wanted to go to church. She disliked waking up early in the morning to attend Sunday service and Sunday school. I'm quite happy that she attended church though. Josh told me that he heard about the phone call I made with her that caused her to go to church. She has a lot of questions that she wants answered though. Hopefully I will be able to help her with that. Josh also told me she'll be going to SCBC for worship.
Anyway...why my "header"/"title" is Action, ReACTION because the situation proves that the theory is true. I took action and evangelized and the reaction is where Valerie went to church. I guess there could've been a different and more negative reaction, but I'm happy that she gave the positive reaction. Maybe if I evangelized or put in more action with others, their reactions will too be the same.

You said (8 )
*I'm sorry I didn't do devos but i think this post is worthy enough
Today at SCBC *laughs* the congregation sang "You said". The song sounds really nice and yall probably heard it already. Anyway...Peeps. There's this line in the song: You said, "Ask and I'll give the nations to you." and I can really relate to this line in the song and it makes me really happy!! If you went to Dido' the past Friday, September 12, 2008 then you probably heard Zara's reflection of the week. I am also happy that I have period 5 lunch. I am happy that I can be with my church friends and sharing my entire week of evangelism...sorta. Through out the week I've found 4 people at school that I could evangelize to. Zara already mentioned 1 of them which is Jenny. The other 3 are Valerie, Angela and Kevin.
I've already had a talk with Valerie and Kevin about GOD but the results are from semi-good to bad : S For Valerie I found that it was "trust" or willing to "believe/accept" that the Bible is true or that GOD DOES exist. I advised her to try church for a "while" not "once in a while" (*laughs* can you tell the difference?). She told me that she always felt lonely when going to fellowship 'cuz her Christian friends wouldn't always be hanging out with her all the time since they've got "Church friends" too. So I advised her to take a friend with her to church who was also non-Christian or someone whose not familiar with the church so that they could grow in GOD together. *laughs* (I forgot which Bible verse it's from but this is the basic gyst of it) "Better to have a buddy than not have a buddy so that they could look after for you when you fall down. When a man is alone he wont be able to get up by himself, but with a companion they could help each other get up."
For Kevin...well, let's just say not so well? I don't know what to say to him : S and he said that he was busy on Friday's or something like that so he can't come to fellowship so that he could do his "Chemistry homework". Honestly, I think he's just making excuses. It doesn't hurt to relax once in the week by going to fellowship...am I right? He went to fellowship 4 times before and I don't think his experiences were that well. Oh well... I'm not sure what to do but I'll pray for it, besides look at the bright side of the situation GOD has already given us 4 people to evangelize to! To tell the truth, I think it's already a LOT of people. When do you usually find a situation to evangelize to people with out being awkward. *laughs* I'm just happy that the verse in the song was true.

Prayer
Today Jason came to visit UHS and we did a devo together with Zara, Candice and Kristy, since we all have 5th period lunch. The devo was about Prayer. The devotion was in Jason's bible and each devo came with a lil' activity we could do each day. Today's activity was to write down something we could pray for five people. I decided to pray for two people instead. I was praying for Zara and Kevin Wong (gr.11). I'm trying to evangelize to my classmate right now. It's quite difficult to try to convince him, but I definetly have made a change in his life and helped him somehow in his "troubled" life. *laughs* or that's the impression I recieve. I'm not sure how to convince him to come to Dido' though or try to continue to talk about GOD and other spiritual stuff. He doesn't want to go to fellowship or atleast try the extra curricular more. I believe that possibly his past fellowship experiences weren't so "fun" or to his expectations. BLAH. I hope there'll be another way to bring him to CHRIST 'cuz I'm puzzled : S
